“Pushing the Kid”, Volume 9 of the "2 Stupid 2 Lip Sink Chronicles," is about a woman who is pushed to the limits within a relationship. I wrote this many years ago and the song was first released on the No Doubt Crypto album. Deni Nichols (deceased) sang the lead on the original release. Melinda started singing it when we started the Mike Hamilton Band and she does a fantastic job with this one! We stayed true to the original arrangement. Tom played drums on the No Doubt Crypto version of "Pushing the Kid" and he plays bass on this one with Dexter keeping us in the groove on the drums. Rock on Melinda!
